We’re celebrating Latinx Heritage Month with special activities at the CMA Stage, in our Art Studio, Jane’s Innovation Station and Science Bar. Learn about Puerto Rican engineer Alfredo Ayala and physician José Celso Barbosa and more while you play!

Starting September 5, build the skills your child needs to thrive with our early learning program, Building Blocks: Preschool Playtime! Drop by the Art Studio 10:00 am – 12:00 pm every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for fun facilitated activities for babies, toddlers, and pre-kindergarteners.

Make sure to stop by the Museum’s newest featured exhibit Emotions at Play with Pixar’s Inside Out and explore Headquarters with your favorite Inside Out characters starting September 16!

Come for the thrills, stay for the physics! Design a rollercoaster car and send it plummeting down and around the CMA loop-de-loop. Learn about kinetic energy, potential energy and engineer Alfredo Ayala who makes the world a more fun place with his rollercoasters!

Storytime: A New Kind of Wild

When Ren moves to Ava's city, he feels lost without the lush forest he grew up in. How will he ever feel at home in a place with no green and no magic? Of course, not everything in the city is what meets the eye, and as Ren discovers, nothing makes you feel at home quite like a friend. Inspired by the stories her father told her about moving from Puerto Rico to New York as a child, Zara González Hoang's author-illustrator debut is an imaginative exploration of the true meaning of "home."

Use bright colors and unexpected materials to create a colorful pastel painting inspired by the art of Jaime Domínguez. Artsy Mondays connect artists ages 5 and younger with creative facilitated art projects. Art Studio: Tinkerin' Tuesday

Put your hard had on and think like a builder as you construct your own marble run. Little one will be encouraged to think about what is working or what needs fixing to get the ball rolling. Tinkerin' Tuesdays offer facilitated tinkering projects that promote object play, fine and gross motor skills, problem solving and fun! Every weekday from 10 am-12 pm head to the Art Studio for hands-on facilitated programs for babies, toddlers and pre-kinder kids.

Come make a mess! We're using toothbrushes and paint to make a mess while exploring colors, patterns, and having a blast. Don't worry - we'll handle clean up! Messy Thursdays let kids cut loose and make a mess while building motor and social skills. Every weekday from 10 am-12 pm head to the Art Studio for hands-on facilitated programs for babies, toddlers and pre-kinder kids.
